DRAFT — pending owner review
Plant Love is a personal plant diary and care app. This policy explains how your information is used. Contact us at info@plantlove.yushi.com.au about your privacy or this policy.
What we collect and why
- Your email and sign-in identity let you access your account and keep your garden separate from other accounts.
- Your plants, care schedules, chores, diary notes and photos provide your diary, reminders and syncing across devices.
- AI requests, answers and credit usage provide the features you request and enforce the allowance.
- Purchase status lets us provide PLUS. Payment providers process your payment details; Plant Love does not store card details.
- Device attestation tokens and server logs help protect the service and diagnose failures.
The app also keeps local copies of your garden, photos and pending changes for offline use. These public pages use no analytics, cookies or advertising scripts.
AI processing
If you choose an AI feature, the relevant plant photo, notes and plant details are sent to Google's Gemini API to identify or assess the plant. AI processing starts only when you choose an AI action and confirm its credit cost. Manual entry works without AI.
The released app uses Google's paid Gemini API tier, under which inputs are not used to improve Google's products. Test builds used by invited testers may use the free tier, under which Google may use inputs to improve its products. AI output can be wrong; check it before relying on it.
Providers and overseas storage
Google Firebase provides sign-in, the database, photo storage and hosting for the web app. Cloudflare hosts these public pages. Google Cloud Run provides the server, and Google's Gemini API processes AI requests. RevenueCat and Google Play process purchase status and billing.
The database (Firestore), photos (Cloud Storage) and server (Cloud Run) are in Google's Sydney region (australia-southeast1). Firebase Authentication is a global Google service. These providers may process information outside Australia under their own policies.
How long information is kept
| Information | Retention |
|---|---|
| Account and garden data | Until you remove the data or delete your account. After you delete your account, it is permanently deleted within 24 hours, and we keep no record of the deleted account, apart from the server logs and backups below, which expire on their own. |
| Server logs | 30 days. |
| Backups, when enabled | Point-in-time recovery copies expire within 7 days. |
| Purchase records held by Google Play and RevenueCat | Under those providers' retention policies; deleting Plant Love does not remove their records. |
| Viewed photos cached by your browser | Until the browser expires or clears its cache. You can clear site data yourself. |
Access, correction and deletion
You can view and edit your garden in the app. For account information, access requests or corrections you cannot make in the app, email support from your account's address. We may ask for enough information to verify you are the account holder.
Use Profile → Delete account, or follow the web deletion instructions. Your account is closed immediately: you are signed out and can no longer sign in or make changes. Within 24 hours your sign-in identity, the account's database data and photos are permanently deleted. Provider-held purchase records described above remain. Deletion cannot be undone.
